The Simple Routine: Cleanse, Moisturize, Protect
Routines
Most skin does not need a ten-step routine. It needs the right three steps, done consistently: cleanse, moisturize and, in the morning, protect.
Step 1: Cleanse
Cleanse morning and evening to remove excess oil, sweat and the day's buildup without stripping the skin. Choose your cleanser by how your skin behaves:
- FLORE Gentle Cleanser suits every skin type, including sensitive and reactive skin. It is soap-free and fragrance-free, with the FLORACTIVE⁺ complex of bifida ferment lysate, niacinamide, zinc PCA and allantoin.
- CLARTÉ Blemish Care Gel Cleanser is made for oily and blemish-prone skin. Its CLARIPLEX⁺ complex pairs salicylic acid and gluconolactone (PHA) with niacinamide and zinc PCA.
Apply to damp skin, massage gently for about thirty seconds, rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Step 2: Moisturize
Every skin type benefits from a moisturizer, oily skin included. Skin can produce plenty of oil and still lack water. VELOURS Oil-Free Moisturizer hydrates with a weightless, mattifying finish, and its CERAMIDE-AZ⁺ complex helps strengthen the skin barrier. Smooth a pea-sized amount over face and neck after cleansing.
Step 3: Protect, every morning
Finish every morning with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. This matters even more if you use salicylic acid, which can make skin more sensitive to the sun.
Your routine at a glance
Give a new routine a few weeks of consistent use before judging it. Skin responds to routine, not to one-off effort.
Questions
Can I use FLORE and CLARTÉ together?
Yes. Many people use FLORE in the morning and CLARTÉ in the evening, then follow both with VELOURS.
Should oily skin skip moisturizer?
No. Skipping moisturizer can leave oily skin feeling tight. An oil-free, lightweight formula keeps it hydrated without shine.
Do I need sunscreen on cloudy days?
Yes. Daylight reaches the skin through clouds and windows, so a daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is a good habit year-round.
Patch test any new product before first use, and speak to a dermatologist about any persistent skin concern.
